Special Edition of Ubuntu Linux

很早前知道有個 Ubuntu Christian Edition, 不過最近才知道 Ubuntu Satanic Edition 的存在, 難道這就是所謂的 “有陽光的地方就有陰影” 嘛 ? XD
裡面的 About 蠻有趣的:

Trying out OLPC XO On Windows

感謝 Tom Hoffman, 讓我得以一窺 OLPC 的作業系統 :) 有興趣嘗試的朋友可以先下載 VMWare Player, 再解開壓縮檔 (link1) (link2) (以上連結擇一下載, 約 135MB) 即可使用. 內定使用 128MB ram, 網路為 NAT 設定. 由於種種原因沒有仔細將全部的功能玩過一遍, 以下是審查砲彈:

已知 USB 與聲音沒法使用, 或者可以調整參數看看..

NTFS read/write driver for Linux

有點舊的消息, Linux 終於可以讀寫 NTFS 囉 ! 不過要走的路還很長遠呢, 希望作者 Szakacsits Szabolcs 先生旅行結束以後, 把剩下的功能補齊就更完美了, anyway, great job !
食用前請先注意幾件事:

目前只有初步的寫入功能, 所以文件上這麼說 :
It provides full read-write access to NTFS, excluding access to encrypted files, writing compressed files, changing file ownership, access right.
由於沒有 owner 的屬性, 所以在 Linux 下寫入的檔案或目錄, 拿到 Windows 上使用時, 只有管理者能夠存取. 如果你的使用環境有與其他人共享同一台電腦, 請先用管理者設定檔案使用權限.
如果 CPU 使用率常常在 100%, 那麼有可能是某個正在讀寫 NTFS 的程式的問題.
